About topkpop

A clearer way to see what's hot.

topkpop is an automated K-pop data hub built around the topkpop Index: a transparent composite ranking that brings together public signals from YouTube, Spotify, Korean realtime charts, Billboard, and music-show wins.

We are building one credible place for international fans to see what is happening right now, what is coming next, and which artists are moving. Alongside the Index, topkpop tracks music-show winners, comeback dates, concerts, and the historical snapshots that make movement meaningful.

Data is sourced from public APIs and feeds, including YouTube Data API, Spotify Web API, Melon and other chart sources, the billboard-json GitHub feed, MediaWiki/Wikipedia, and event feeds. Each source is refreshed on its own schedule, and source attribution is provided throughout the site.

The Index is a derived, composite signal: not an official chart, award, or statement from any artist, label, platform, or chart provider.

Chart positions, scores, dates, and other facts can change as upstream sources update. We aim for transparent methods, clear timestamps, and graceful corrections rather than false certainty. Album art and media are served from their respective API sources and are not endorsements.
